Library clear up Day 2

Today we boxed up the remaining library books and had to throw away all the damaged books - heartbreaking for everyone.  A huge thank you to all the members of the Science Department who did all the hard work - making the boxes and shifting the books from the shelves.

The clear up begins...

It's been a difficult day - the librarians have been sorting out all the damaged books.  There are quite a few.  But some of the books on the higher shelves should be OK.

Flooded library photos

ITV news broadcast images of our library. The Christmas tree looking a bit sad now. Waiting to go in to start the clear out.

Library flooded

We are devastated that the Chapman Library has been badly damaged by the flooding that happened over the past weekend.  Although we are not sure of exactly when the library will be up and running again, we will be doing everything we can to restore the library to its former glory.
